About the Home Inspection Process
Exterior and Interior
We inspect both the exterior and interior in extreme detail, and then provide you with our insights on our findings in a detailed inspection report within 24 hours after your inspection is finished.
On the roof, we check the shingles or other roofing materials to ensure that there are no missing pieces that will cause leaks that will have you pulling your hair out every time it rains and pours.
We always check the attic to be sure that there is the proper amount of insulation in the space as to not cause any condensation that will turn into moisture leaking into your home. As well we check many other factors like critters making a home up there.
We use thermal imaging to scan the walls as we look for any heat signatures that will tell us whether or not there is any insulation that is missing from exterior walls.
Are there any leaks in behind the walls? Does your main water valve actually shut off the water coming into your home? After your home inspection, you will know for sure.
Are any breakers overloaded? Are all the plugs and lights working? Are the electrical elements in your home all working as they should?
We check the garage to be sure that when you park your car inside the structure will not collapse on top of your vehicle.
Are all the chimneys clean, and vented properly?
We test everything in order to make sure that when you move in you will be cooking dinner, rather than running to the furniture store to buy a new stove to cook on.
The foundation is one of the most critical parts of your home. It is the support that holds everything up. We make sure that there are no visible cracks and that it is built properly.
Heating and Air Conditioning
Is the furnace working? How bad would it be if when you went to turn your furnace on this winter, only to realize that it doesn’t fire up when expected?
