The Funnest Attractions in Edmonton
Edmonton, Alberta, has countless fun attractions for those visiting and looking for fun things to do. Whether you are looking for something to do while on business, a romantic getaway, or a family vacation, Edmonton will have something for you.
Here are the my families favourite locations in all of Edmonton.
1 – The Edmonton Valley Zoo!
The first on the list is the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Perfect for families with kids of all ages, the Zoo features over 350 different animals in their natural habitats. The large collection of animals makes the Edmonton Valley Zoo one of the world’s best and largest zoos. Great for entertaining your kids and teaching them about more animals.
2 – The Telus World of Science
Another one of Edmonton’s funnest attractions and one of our family favourites is the Telus World of Science museum. Featuring hands-on attractions, a planetarium, and a full IMAX theatre, the Telus World of Science museum is one of the best locations to visit in Edmonton whether you’re already a science buff or looking to learn some of the basics. While many hands-on science works museums are geared for children, the Telus World of Science is set-up to ensure fun for both parents and their children.
3 – West Edmonton Mall!
If amusement parks are more your speed, be sure to check out Galaxyland, the world’s largest indoor park with over 27 thrilling rides. No need to worry about rain, snow, cold or heat at all! Thrill seekers rejoice as the park also includes the world’s largest as well as longest indoor rollercoaster in the world. Not to mention that If shopping is how you have your fun then be prepared to go to heaven, as you drop the kids off at galaxyland, and go for some shopping at wested. The West Edmonton Mall is the largest shopping mall in all of North America. After your shopping and amusement park fun, you will be amazed because this mall is so large and so much fun that it actually includes an indoor water amusement park called World Water Park. The water park is the second largest indoor park in the entire world. These fun attractions are always expanding and growing so as fun as they are now, they will only continue to grow over time.
